  1. It’s an interesting article, and highlights just how dependent we are on electricity – but you should read a few of the comments; at least the first one. As the guy points out, the one thing we do have of such an event is advance warning, and the facility to protect the transformers by isolating them at the necessary time. All that is necessary is a proper contingency plan to put this into place – basically a matter of having enough engineers to get the job done in time.
