  1. I can only suppose they’re prices to start the bidding, because even the land they’re on must be worth a good deal.

  2. If you go to Detroit you will see why those houses are only $100.00 and it may be a high price. You might be able to bargan them down to $75.00.

  4. I'd be willing to be an agent to oversee your properties, with the understanding that you will provide weapons to defend myself.

  5. The spreads won't work even at those prices Dickbar.

There are parts of Detroit that are literally abandoned. We expect that city to become a ghost town eventually.

While it looks cheap there is a reason and the reason looks very ugly. To compound matters Detroit is in the US top 5 most dangerous cities in terms of crime. I think Camden is #1.

As you know its all about the spread. Detroit at one time was a vibrant city but the collapse of the Autos is killing it.

  6. think of all the meth labs you could build.. you could start a meth lab FARM!

  7. Considering that the description mentioned fire damage, I wouldn't be surprised if a meth lab blew up inside it. It's just depressing though, a lot of those homes are beautiful (or used to be) and it seems many of them will fall to ruin if Detroit is allowed to dissolve into a cesspit, which many neighborhoods have already. Sadly, this seems to be on the horizon for many cities and towns that depend solely on one type of industry to survive.

  8. For $100 a throw you could buy quite a few. You could be a slumlord and own a whole suburb for a few grand.

Anyway, glad I tracked you down, DB.

    Happy New Year to you.

  9. Perhaps you could buy many houses in the same area, raze the structures, and build the biggest mall ever? Or maybe you could build the coolest amusement park ever that is music-themed!
